How to use it
- Copy your manifest. Open your site's manifest.json (often /manifest.json or /site.webmanifest) and copy it.
- Paste it. Paste it into the box — results update as you type.
- Fix red, then amber. Fix the red items first; amber items improve the installed app.
Why the manifest matters for web to app
The web app manifest tells browsers and packaging tools how your site behaves as an app: its name, icon, start page, colours and display mode. Chrome needs it to offer Install app, and PWA-to-APK tools that build a Trusted Web Activity read it to create the Android package.
A WebView app — what Web to App Creator builds — doesn't need a manifest at all, because you set the name, icon and colours in the builder. But a good manifest is still worth having for visitors who install your site from Chrome.
Private by design: this tool runs entirely on your device. Nothing you type or add here is sent to a server.

Frequently asked questions
Does Web to App Creator need a manifest?
No. You set the name, icon and colours in the app. The manifest matters for Chrome installs and TWA packaging.
What is a maskable icon?
An icon with extra padding so Android can crop it to circles, squircles or rounded squares without cutting off the logo.
Where should the manifest live?
Anywhere on your site, linked from every page with <link rel="manifest" href="/manifest.json">.
Is my manifest sent anywhere?
No — it's checked in your browser.
